Miguel arrived in 2023 to surf. Noemi had spent years being the person in the group who really knew where to go. We ended up building this together.
AfterSurf Guide is simple: we have friends on this island doing things we genuinely love — surf, kayak, food, routes — and we want people who come here to live them too. Not as tourists. More like one of the group.
The experiences you find here are run by people from our circle. We have known them for years. We know how they work, what matters to them and why they do what they do. Nobody gets into the guide if they would not be welcome at our table.
We are not an agency. We do not have an office or a catalogue. We have one rule: if we would not do it ourselves, we do not recommend it. If an experience loses quality when it grows, we stop offering it. The guide is small because the family is small.
What matters to us
Small groups, always
We do not work with crowded experiences. If the guide cannot know your name before you start, we do not recommend it.
The money goes to the person doing the work
Our margin is minimal and transparent. Most of the price goes straight to our friends — the instructor, the chef, the guide. That is how it should work when the money stays with the people you care about.
Respect for the place
We only include experiences with providers who care about the environment. No activity damages reefs, seabeds or coastal ecosystems.
