How do I book an experience?
There is no basket or online checkout. Choose an experience, send your enquiry on WhatsApp and the team running it will confirm availability, final price and all the details with you.
Do I need previous surf, kayak or SUP experience?
Not in most cases. The guide adapts the pace to the group and takes time to explain the basics before you begin. If an experience requires a certain level, you will see it on its page.
What happens if the sea or weather do not cooperate?
If conditions are not right, the guide will find another date with you. The decision is based on the actual sea and weather conditions. If it is not safe, the experience does not go ahead.
Can I book for a large group?
It depends on the experience. We mainly work with small groups because they allow for better attention and a pace that suits everyone. You can check the group limit on each experience page before messaging us.
What does the “From” price mean?
It is the minimum price per person. It may change depending on the group size, duration or chosen day. The team running the experience will confirm the final price before you book.
How do I pay?
You pay the team running the experience directly, usually on the day. AfterSurf Guide does not take payment through the website; the provider pays us a commission when a booking comes through the guide.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, but each team sets its own change and cancellation terms. Ask before confirming so you know what happens if you need to move to another day.
Who is responsible for the activity?
The company delivering the experience is responsible for organising it, running it and keeping it safe. AfterSurf Guide selects and presents the experiences, but does not provide them.
Are you a tour agency or a booking platform?
No. AfterSurf Guide is run by Miguel and Noemi. We bring together experiences run by people we know, along with places and plans we want to share. We are not an agency or a platform open to any provider.
Do you cover all of Tenerife, or just the south?
The map includes places across both the north and south of the island. Most experiences are currently in the south because that is where much of our circle lives. We will add other areas as we get to know people there whom we genuinely trust.
