Playa de Almáciga

One of three beaches surrounding Taganana, the most remote village in Anaga. Dark sand and volcanic pebbles, mountains dropping straight into the sea, Atlantic swells arriving unobstructed. No lifeguard, no beach bar — just waves and whoever knows how to read them. Best from autumn to winter with northwest swell. Getting there: TF-134 from La Laguna to Taganana, limited parking by the beach.
