Playa de Las Américas

The centre of surfing in the south of Tenerife, with several peaks within a few hundred metres. La Izquierda and La Derecha break over reef and suit intermediate to advanced surfers; El Conquistador, in front of the hotel it's named after, is where almost everyone starts; El Dedo is for advanced surfers only. The best season is November to March, although there's nearly always a peak with some waves. La Fitenia, a little further south, has its own page.
